To answer this need Worldsmith offers virtual meeting and teaching spaces based on stable, mature internet technologies. These solutions answer need of educational institutions, business training & conferencing, consulting, remote observation and control of distributed-industrial or hazardous environments, and many more. We achieve this by integrating the advantages of real-time interaction found in MUD/MOOs with the media-rich World Wide Web protocols. Our Worlds are workable in today's low bandwidth realties yet accommodate the full range of media available to today's desktop personal computer by utilizing innovative server-side technologies eliminating the need for special client-side software. Implementation of this technology is quite flexible. We maintain an Internet site with multiple remote environments, and can sell time on it to schools, tutors, special lecturers, etc. This would be cost-effective, for example, for a school that wanted some special tutoring for one or a few students. We can also act as a broker connecting qualified tutors with a remote and distributed clientele. Alternatively, we can install everything necessary on an intranet of a school or business. This would be very effective, for example, in the case of a group of related schools which wanted to share instructional resources without physically moving students or instructors. Some clients may simply want to own and control their own facilities and content. We can implement any of these possibilities. Naturally, we can also address the needs of the corporate user particularly the need for secure transmissions involving financial information.
